On July 26, as reported by the As Newspaper, Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies is set for a free transfer to Real Madrid next summer.
The media indicates that Real Madrid had hoped to sign Davies this summer; however, Bayern Munich insisted on a fee of at least 50 million euros, while Real Madrid was only willing to offer 35 million euros in transfer fees. Consequently, Davies and Real Madrid reached an agreement that the player will join Real Madrid on a free transfer after his contract with Bayern Munich expires next summer, at which point he will receive a significant signing bonus.
Additionally, it has been revealed that Bayern Munich previously offered Davies a contract extension worth 14 million euros per year, but the player remained committed to joining Real Madrid, leading Bayern to withdraw their offer.
