According to The Athletic, Manchester United are in discussions with Inter Milan about a swap deal that would see Wan-Bissaka move to Italy and Denzel Dumfries join Old Trafford.
The report claims that Wan-Bissaka has rejected an offer from West Ham, with the player preferring a transfer to Inter Milan this summer or joining as a free agent when his contract expires in June 2025.
It is understood that this situation has prompted both players’ agents to discuss the idea of a 26-year-old Wan-Bissaka moving to Inter Milan, while Dumfries would head to Manchester United. However, there has been no concrete progress on this potential exchange yet.
Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace in 2019 for a transfer fee of £45 million and has made 190 appearances for the club over the past five seasons. He is widely regarded as one of the most aggressive tacklers in the Premier League but appears to be preparing to leave Old Trafford. West Ham have long been interested in him. With only one year left on his contract with Manchester United, the club risks losing him for nothing in 12 months if they do not sell him this summer.
