KFA Official: Press Conference for Hong Myung-bo’s Appointment as Korea Republic Head Coach on July 29 at 11 AM (10 AM)

On July 24, the Korean Football Association (KFA) announced that they will hold a press conference on July 29 at 11 AM (10 AM) to officially introduce Hong Myung-bo as the new head coach of the Korea Republic national team.

The KFA stated, “We will hold a press conference for Coach Hong Myung-bo’s appointment at the Seoul Jongno District Football Center on the 29th at 10 AM.”

He was officially appointed as the head coach of the Korea Republic national football team on the 7th of this month. It is known that Hong flew to Madrid on the 15th to evaluate Korean players in Europe and interview foreign coaching staff. The KFA previously said, “Coach Hong plans to evaluate candidates and interview foreign coaches in Europe who can help understand and analyze football in advanced regions.”

It is understood that Coach Hong met with and interviewed candidates for tactical and fitness coaching roles over three days, then directly evaluated key Korean league players competing in Europe.

The Korea Republic team has been drawn into Group B for the World Cup qualifiers’ final round of 18, with their first opponent being Palestine, scheduled for September 5 at 6 PM.
