Noeler, who traveled to South Korea with Bayern Munich for pre-season preparations for the new season, stated in an interview that he currently does not want to discuss topics such as leaving the national team or retiring. Regarding Bayern Munich’s new coach, Kompany, Noeler said his coaching philosophy has already won approval from everyone at Bayern.
This is the first time in two years that Noeler has joined Bayern for the summer pre-season preparations. Upon arriving in South Korea with the team, Noeler said it was his first visit to the country, and the scenery in Seoul is very nice.
Talking about new coach Kompany, who has been in charge for a short while, Noeler believes that Kompany’s coaching philosophy has already won approval from everyone at Bayern. “The coaching staff is very open and good at communication, handling many things privately and individually. He always considers issues from others’ perspectives, and the communication between us started from day one. I think he is very straightforward in communicating with players and informing them of his ideas, which is definitely a good thing.”
When discussing the German national team, Noeler said that he currently does not want to talk about leaving the national team. “I am satisfied with the team’s performance in the European Cup. I met many fans during my vacation, but I cannot announce anything right now. There are still some details to negotiate, and I know what I need.”
Speaking about his contract with Bayern and the issue of retirement, Noeler said, “I believe I have great motivation to play another season (my contract with Bayern ends in the summer of 2025), and then we’ll see how things go. I must listen to feedback from my body, and then I will also have to look at my own performance in the new season before making a decision.”
Regarding rumors of Goretzka and De Ligt leaving the team, Noeler said everything should be left to the club to decide, although he has good chemistry with these two teammates and considers them both to be very capable.
