July 19, official news: the head coach of the Bolivian national team, Zag, has been dismissed.
During his playing career, Zag played for teams such as Roma and won the 1994 World Cup with the Brazilian national team. After retiring, Zag coached several teams including Palmeiras, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Kashima Antlers.
Zag took over as coach of Bolivia in October last year and led the team through ten matches with a record of two wins and eight losses. In the recently concluded Copa America, Bolivia lost all three of their matches and finished at the bottom of their group.
