Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne will not be leaving City for Saudi Arabia this summer, and he also insisted that the Premier League champions have no plans for major signings in the summer.
Guardiola said: “De Bruyne is not leaving. If someone wants to leave, we will talk about it. Of course, until the last day, we have a chance to operate transfers, I don’t rule out the option of bringing in new players, but I think we have an 85-90% chance of keeping the same squad.”
“I feel very comfortable because the quality of the talent we have in our team is hard to replace, and the level is there. But we’ll see, I don’t know if at the last moment someone comes for some players and they leave, we will make a decision.”
“Rodri becoming a favorite for the Ballon d’Or? I can’t deny how happy he would be. For him, being in contention for the Ballon d’Or is already remarkable, for his family, friends, and of course for Manchester City. We are very proud.”
