According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, both Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp have shown no interest in taking over the England national team.
In the wake of Gareth Southgate’s unexpected resignation, the Football Association (FA) was forced to start its search for a new manager. Several media outlets suggested that the FA’s shortlist included names like Guardiola and Klopp.
However, Ekrem Konur has poured cold water on the FA’s hopes, stating that both high-profile managers are uninterested in the opportunity to manage the England team.
Following his departure from Liverpool, Klopp chose to take a year off and has repeatedly stated that he would not accept any managerial offers during this period. Guardiola, who still has one year left on his contract with Manchester City, is reportedly being considered by the FA, which might appoint an interim coach for the time being and then make a full push for Guardiola later.
