According to Italian media outlet “Football Market,” after Mbappe’s departure, PSG has been pursuing Napoli forward Victor Osimhen as a replacement. However, due to various issues in negotiations, the deal is now virtually off, reigniting hopes for several Premier League clubs that were previously interested in Osimhen.
It is understood that Napoli wanted Lee Kang-in included in the deal, which PSG rejected. The French club also made it clear that they would not match the €130 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract, causing the negotiations to stall. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano even stated that the deal has collapsed.
In this context, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have renewed their interest in signing Osimhen. Previously, these clubs had pursued the Serie A striker but were unable to compete due to PSG’s involvement. Last season, Osimhen scored 17 goals in 32 appearances. Since joining Napoli in 2020, he has scored 76 goals in 133 games, setting a new club record.
