The Belgian second division club Beveren has officially announced the loan signing of 18-year-old forward Toyosuke Michishige from Kumamoto Reds for a season, with an option to extend the loan with Kumamoto Reds at the end of the term.
Toyosuke Michishige showed his football talent from a young age. In December 2022, at just 16 years old, he signed with the Kumamoto Reds youth team, becoming Japan’s youngest professional football player while still in his first year of high school.
Currently in his third year of high school, he will join Beveren to start his overseas career. Previously, during the U17 Asian Cup, Toyosuke Michishige also represented Japan U17, performing impressively.
Toyosuke Michishige stated, “I will do my utmost to score many goals and achieve success in Belgium. I hope to convey this to the fans in Kumamoto. I will give it my all, so please support me.”
