On August 2, Fulham announced that Arsenal attacker Smith Rowe has officially joined the club. The two parties have signed a contract until 2029, with an option to extend for an additional year.
According to multiple media reports, Fulham paid a total transfer fee of £34 million for Smith Rowe, setting a new record for the most expensive signing in the club’s history.
The 24-year-old Smith Rowe can play in multiple positions across the midfield and attack. He came through Arsenal’s youth academy and had loan spells at Leipzig and Huddersfield Town before being promoted to Arsenal’s first team in 2020, where he later wore the No.10 shirt.
Smith Rowe made 115 appearances for Arsenal’s senior team, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists.
