Atlético de Madrid has officially announced the signing of last season’s LaLiga silver boot winner, Alexander Sørloth, from Villarreal. The player has signed a four-year contract with the club.
Sørloth is 28 years old, hailing from Norway, and stands at an impressive 195cm tall. He is a physically robust center-forward. Last season, he made 34 appearances in LaLiga for Villarreal, scoring 23 goals. This performance left him one goal behind Girona forward Dovbyk (now transferred to Roma), earning him the LaLiga silver boot.
Atlético de Madrid has now officially confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Sørloth regarding his transfer. The player has successfully completed his medical examination and has signed a four-year contract with Atlético.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the total transfer fee for Sørloth (fixed amount + variables) will reach €30 million.
