On August 3rd, in the Olympic tennis women’s singles final, Chinese player Zheng Qianwen competed against Croatian player Vekic.

Starting off, Zheng Qianwen broke and held serve to gain a 3-0 lead. Despite facing two break points in her service games, she managed to save them all and took the lead. The players then alternated holding serves until the seventh game, where Zheng Qianwen’s service game showed some instability. Fortunately, Zheng Qianwen maintained her mental strength and saved another break point to win her service game, leading 5-2. In Vekic’s next service game, Zheng Qianwen secured a break point and successfully won it. With this, Zheng Qianwen secured a 6-2 victory in the first set.
