On July 23, Brazilian Serie A team Gremio officially announced the signing of Danish forward Martin Braithwaite.

Gremio has reached an agreement with Danish player Martin Braithwaite. The forward will arrive at the club in the coming days to undergo a medical examination, after which both parties will sign the contract.
Braithwaite joined FC Barcelona in February 2020. From 2020 to 2021, Braithwaite won honors with the team, including the 2020 Gamper Trophy, the 2020-2021 Copa del Rey, and the 2021 Gamper Trophy. On September 1, 2022, Braithwaite terminated his contract with FC Barcelona. In September 2022, he joined Real Madrid Castilla.
Earlier this month, Braithwaite’s contract with Real Madrid Castilla was terminated early, making him a free agent.
