Milano Sport: Milan Close to Signing Serbian International Strahinja Pavlovic

On July 21, according to Italian media outlet Milano Sport, Serbian international Strahinja Pavlovic is closing in on a move to Milan and is preparing for crucial talks with Red Bull Salzburg.

It is reported that Milan is confident of completing the deal for Pavlovic at a price of €18 million. Initially, Salzburg demanded €25 million. However, the Austrian side has since lowered its demands and is now willing to sell their star center-back for €20 million.

Milan and Pavlovic have already agreed on personal terms. The Serbian international is eager to join Serie A and play for the Rossoneri. The Portuguese manager views the 23-year-old as an important defensive addition.

If Pavlovic arrives at San Siro, he will not only replace Simon Kjaer but also become a key part of the team’s defense. Currently, none of the three center-backs at Milan are left-footed, while Pavlovic is. Thus, Milan coach Fonseca believes he could be the missing piece to complete the defensive puzzle.

Pavlovic is 23 years old, stands at 193 cm tall, and is strong and robust, with excellent tackling and aerial abilities. Last season, he made 37 appearances (all starts) for Red Bull Salzburg, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

Additionally, Milan is also interested in Borussia Dortmund’s center-forward Nils Füllkrug. However, they need to overcome fierce competition from La Liga powerhouse Atlético Madrid.
