August 2 – According to multiple UK media outlets, Chelsea has informed midfielder Gallagher that due to his refusal to accept a contract extension or agree to a transfer, he will be temporarily excluded from the first team squad when he reports back to the club next week.
It is understood that Chelsea has accepted Atlético Madrid’s offer for the player, but Gallagher is not keen on leaving the club.
