However, they failed to extend their lead and were overtaken by their opponents at 9-10, falling behind by four points. In the end, the Liang-Wang duo lost the deciding game 19-21, losing the match 1-2 to Lee Yang/Wang Chi-lin and securing the silver medal in this event.
