BEIJING, July 24 – Top-seeded men’s tennis player Sinner has withdrawn from the Paris Olympics due to illness.
Sinner posted on his social media account: I regret to inform you that unfortunately, I will not be able to participate in the Paris Olympics.
After training on clay courts for a week, I started feeling unwell. I took a few days off and during my visit to the doctor, tonsillitis was diagnosed, and I was strongly advised not to continue.
Missing the Olympics is a huge disappointment as it was one of my main goals for this season.
