On August 6, in the Men’s Pole Vault final at the Paris Olympics which concluded in the early hours of this morning, Swedish athlete Armand Duplantis cleared a height of 6.25 meters, breaking the Olympic record set by a Brazilian athlete at the Rio Olympics. This jump also broke his own world record of 6.24 meters, successfully defending his title and winning gold.
Chinese athlete Huang Bo Kai cleared 5.80 meters on his attempt, setting a new personal best in his career and the best performance for the Chinese athletics team in this event. He ultimately finished in seventh place.
