Lyon has officially announced that the club has signed Georgian star Mikautaze until 2028.
Mikautaze is 23 years old and plays in the central midfield. He shone brightly during this year’s European Championship, scoring three goals and providing one assist over four appearances for Georgia in their debut campaign.
Mikautaze trained with Lyon’s youth team as a child before moving on to play for teams such as Metz and Ajax. The official transfer fee announced by Lyon was 18.5 million euros. Mikautaze will join up with the team after the pre-season training camp ends on July 27th.
