According to a report by the well-known domestic media @Beiqing Sports, the Zhangzhou Municipal Government has issued an incentive policy — a reward of 1.2 million RMB for athletes from Zhangzhou who win Olympic gold.
The specific details are as follows:
The Zhangzhou Municipal Government has issued the Notice of the Zhangzhou Municipal People’s Government on Printing and Distributing the “Zhangzhou City Competitive Sports Reward Measures for 2024–2027”. The reward for Zhangzhou athletes winning Olympic gold is 1.2 million RMB.
1. There are four categories of reward recipients: athletes, coaches (divided into head coaches, assistant coaches, feeder coaches, and introductory coaches), feeder organizations, and related support organizations and personnel.
2. The rewards cover competitions including the Olympics, Asian Games, National Games, Youth Games, Provincial Games, World Championships, World Cup, as well as various levels of Paralympic Games and Special Olympics.
3. There are three types of awards: competition performance awards, record-breaking awards, and qualification awards.
4. The reward standards: based on the athlete’s reward standard, the other recipients receive a certain percentage of this base amount. The reward for an Olympic champion is 1.2 million RMB, an Asian Games champion is 1.5 million RMB, a National Games champion is 1.5 million RMB, a Youth Games champion is 450,000 RMB, a Provincial Games champion is 200,000 RMB, and a World Championship or World Cup champion is 800,000 RMB. For Paralympic Games, the principle of “same-level competition, same standard reward” applies; champions at the World Special Olympics, National Special Olympics, and Provincial Special Olympics receive rewards of 3 million RMB, 400,000 RMB, and 75,000 RMB, respectively.
It is worth noting that: The Zhangzhou sports training base is one of the three main training bases for the Chinese women’s volleyball team in the country.
