Gold! Men’s Synchronized 10m Platform Diving: Chinese Pair Yang Hao and Lian Junjie Claim the Title

At 5 PM on July 29th, the men’s synchronized 10m platform diving final at the Paris Olympics took place. The Chinese pair of Yang Hao and Lian Junjie competed, with competitors including the British pair of Daley and Williams.

The men’s synchronized 10m platform diving final consisted of six rounds, with eight pairs vying for the top spot. The Chinese pair of Yang Hao and Lian Junjie were the seventh to dive.

The competition began, and in the first round, Yang Hao and Lian Junjie chose the forward 101B dive, ultimately scoring 56.40 points to take the lead. The Canadian and British pairs both scored 53.40 points, tying them for second place.

In the second round, Yang Hao and Lian Junjie continued their excellent performance, earning 57.60 points. Their total score of 114.00 points kept them in first place, leading the second-place divers by nine points.

In the third round, the Chinese pair chose the 5253B dive, with a difficulty coefficient of 3.4, scoring 85.44 points. Their total score of 199.44 kept them in the lead.

In the fourth round, Yang Hao and Lian Junjie chose a backward 2.5 somersaults with three twists pike, scoring a high 95.88 points. Their total score was 295.32, leading the British pair of Daley and Williams by 12.84 points.

In the fifth round, the Chinese pair chose the 207B dive, with a difficulty coefficient of 3.6. They scored 91.80 points. After this round, they held the top spot with a total score of 387.12, while the British pair had 370.20 points and were in second place.

In the final sixth round, the Chinese pair of Yang Hao and Lian Junjie and the British pair of Daley and Williams both chose the 109C dive. The British pair scored 93.24 points, while the Chinese pair of Yang Hao and Lian Junjie scored 103.23 points.

The Chinese pair of Yang Hao and Lian Junjie ultimately won the gold medal!
