According to The Athletic, Barcelona, who are hoping to sign Nico Williams this summer, have received more bad news as Paris St. Germain have joined the race and have already made a preliminary inquiry.
The report states that following Mbappe’s departure, PSG are eager to find suitable reinforcements in the transfer market, and one of their current targets is Nico Williams, who has just won the European Championship.
It is understood that Nico’s current contract with Athletic Bilbao runs until 2027, with a buyout clause ranging between €55 million and €60 million.
Last season, Nico played 37 times for Athletic Bilbao, scoring 8 goals and providing 19 assists.
