August 6 – Portuguese club Benfica has officially announced that Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches from Paris Saint-Germain has joined the team on a one-year loan.
The official announcement from Benfica reads as follows:
The 26-year-old midfielder, Renato Sanches, who previously played for Benfica, has returned to the team on loan from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain. He will once again wear the number 85 jersey for Benfica and strengthen the squad for the 2024/25 season. The loan agreement includes an option to buy.
According to well-known transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the loan deal includes a buyout clause of approximately €11 million.
