Official: Japanese Defender Shogo Taniguchi Transfers to Sint-Truiden on a Free Transfer

Belgian First Division A club Sint-Truiden has announced that they have signed Japanese defender Shogo Taniguchi from Qatari club Al-Rayyan.

Taniguchi, 33 years old, plays as a center-back. He previously played for Tsukuba University and Kawasaki Frontale before joining Al-Rayyan in January 2023. This transfer to Sint-Truiden is on a free transfer.

Currently, there are five other Japanese players at Sint-Truiden: Riku Doi, Rizen Yamamoto, Ryotaro Ito, Ryoya Kojima, and Reo Kozakura. Taniguchi will become the sixth.
