On July 29, Tottenham Hotspur officially announced that David Pleat has resigned from his role as club scout.

Official Announcement:

Pleat first joined us in May 1986 when he was appointed as team manager. In his first season, he led us to third place in the First Division and into the FA Cup Final. He left the club in October 1987.

He returned in January 1998 as the club’s first Director of Football and during his time at the club, he took over as caretaker manager on three occasions—in September 1998, March 2001, and September 2003.

In May 2004, following the end of his term as Director of Football, he returned again in 2010 as a member of the club’s scouting department.
