The Champions League officials have announced that the group stage draw for the new season will be conducted by a computer instead of manually.
The new season of the Champions League has undergone reform, with 36 teams competing in the group stage, divided into four tiers, each containing nine teams. Each team will play against two teams from each tier. After eight matches, the top eight teams with the highest total points will advance directly to the Round of 16. Teams ranked 9th to 25th by total points will compete in playoff matches to secure the remaining eight spots in the Round of 16, while teams ranked 26th to 36th will be eliminated.
The seeding for the new season’s Champions League will be officially announced on August 29, and the full schedule will be released on August 31.
