On July 26, the NBA officially announced that there are a record total of 139 current NBA and WNBA players across all basketball teams participating in the Paris Olympics, surpassing the previous record of 121 players.
In the men’s five-on-five basketball competition, there are 81 current or former NBA players, while the women’s tournament features 51 current or former WNBA players.
Among the 12 men’s teams, 10 have at least five players with NBA experience. In the women’s tournament, eight out of the 12 teams have at least three players with WNBA experience.
