On July 15, according to official reports, the draw for the groupings of the Top 16 teams in the 2024 National Amateur League Finals will take place at 09:00 AM on July 16 (Tuesday) in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province! The principles for the draw are as follows:
(1) Team seeding:
The 16 finalist teams will be seeded from 1 to 8 based on their performance in the regional stage and will be drawn into Groups A and B (each group will contain one team from each of the 1-8 seedings) through a draw ceremony.
(2) Provincial avoidance:
In the group draw, teams from the same province will be placed in different groups; if there are more than two teams from the same province (three teams from Guangdong Province have qualified for the finals this season), the teams from the same province within the same group will face each other in the first round of the group stage.
(3) Group order:
The 1st to 4th positions in each group will be drawn by the teams seeded 1 to 4, while the 5th to 8th positions will be drawn by the teams seeded 5 to 8.
Among these, the eight teams seeded 1 to 4 will have four home games and three away games in the group stage; the eight teams seeded 5 to 8 will have three home games and four away games in the group stage.
