According to Spanish newspaper MARCA, Sevilla is interested in signing Marcos Alonso on a free transfer.
Previously, River Plate had already announced a three-season contract with Sevilla’s left-back, Marcos Acuña. Next, Sevilla hopes to sign or cheaply loan another left-back as a positional supplement. Marcos Alonso is the most likely candidate to join; at the end of June this year, Barcelona did not renew Marcos Alonso’s contract, and he has remained a free agent since leaving the team.
Marcos Alonso rejected many high-paying offers during the summer transfer window, as he still hopes to stay in Europe.
