According to The Sun, Liverpool is planning to complete a transfer that will shock the entire English football community. Their transfer target is Everton’s central defender, Branswick, from their fierce rivals.
The report states that, in order to convince their Merseyside rivals Everton to release Branswick, Liverpool will offer a generous bid of 63 million pounds plus 7 million pounds in variables.
Branswick, who was previously targeted by Manchester United, is open to the transfer and hopes to join a top club. Branswick’s current contract with Everton expires in 2027, with a weekly salary of 60,000 pounds. If the transfer to Liverpool goes smoothly, his weekly salary could soar to 180,000 pounds.
The last time Everton directly sold a player to Liverpool was back in 2002, when they sold Portuguese player Abel Xavier to their rivals for a mere 800,000 pounds.
