According to the Evening Standard, Brentford has priced forward Ivan Toney at £50 million. Al Ittihad, whose initial offer of £35 million was rejected, is now considering submitting a second offer.
The report states that Brentford previously rejected Al Ittihad’s first offer, but they hope to sell Toney before the summer transfer window closes to cash in on him, rather than letting him leave for free.
It is understood that if Toney is successfully sold, Brentford will not immediately seek to bring in a replacement. The Bees’ new forward Thiago, signed for £30 million this summer, suffered a serious injury before the start of the season, but they still have players like Mbeumo and Wissa available for selection.
