August 23. According to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas, newly promoted Premier League side Southampton are preparing a bid for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. The Gunners hope to sell Ramsdale, at least on a loan deal with an option to buy.
It is understood that Southampton are preparing a bid for Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale. Last season, Ramsdale was replaced by David Raya as Arteta’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Ramsdale made 11 appearances for the Gunners in the 2023-24 season, only six of which were in the Premier League. Arsenal hopes to reach a permanent agreement with other clubs for Ramsdale, or at least sign him on loan with an option to buy.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have already held talks regarding the goalkeeper and are exploring bringing him to the team on loan.
