According to Spanish media Relevo, after careful consideration, Marcos Alonso has finally decided on his new club. He will undergo a medical examination with Celta Vigo today and will sign a two-year contract with the team.
The 33-year-old Alonso, who came through Real Madrid’s youth academy, has previously played for Bolton, Fiorentina, Sunderland, Chelsea, and Barcelona. At the end of last season, Alonso’s contract with Barcelona expired, making him a free agent.
In the 23/24 season, affected by injuries and other factors, Alonso only made 8 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona.
