On August 16, Porto announced that Evanelson had transferred to Bournemouth.
In the announcement, Porto stated that the fixed transfer fee reached 37 million euros, with an additional 10 million euros in variable clauses.
The 24-year-old Evanelson, who plays as a forward, came through the Fluminense youth system and left the Brazilian league to join Porto in the summer window of 2020. He made a total of 154 appearances for Porto, scoring 60 goals and providing 21 assists, helping Porto win one Portuguese League title, three Portuguese Cups, and one Portuguese League Cup.
Bournemouth has already sold its top scorer Solanke to Tottenham this month. Without any surprises, Evanelson is expected to become the main striker for the Cherries in the new season.
