The base transfer fee for the player is 18 million pounds, and if Southampton remains in the Premier League at the end of this season, Arsenal will receive an additional one million pounds. There are also add-on clauses worth six million pounds tied to the player’s performance. Ramsdale is scheduled to travel to Southampton for a medical examination on Thursday.
Ramsdale is currently 26 years old, having come through the youth ranks at Sheffield United. He has previously played for Worksop Town, Sheffield United, Bournemouth, Chesterfield, and AFC Wimbledon. In August 2021, Ramsdale joined Arsenal for a transfer fee of 28 million euros. Following the arrival of Raya at Arsenal last season, Ramsdale’s playing time significantly decreased, only making 11 appearances for Arsenal throughout the entire season.
