UK Media: 13-Year-Old American Football Player Loses Consciousness During Training and Dies Despite Rescue Efforts

According to UK media, The Daily Mail, a 13-year-old American football player from West Virginia lost consciousness after being hit during training and unfortunately passed away despite rescue efforts.

The young player named Craddock attended Madison Middle School. This was his second year on the team as an offensive player. On Friday night, Craddock suffered a head collision during training. He initially stood up and took a few steps while still wearing his helmet before collapsing unconscious. The school immediately called emergency services. Doctors found that his brain had swollen severely and was lacking oxygen.

Craddock was pronounced dead at 2:30 PM local time on Saturday. Madison Middle School has called for everyone to wear red in memory of Craddock. The school also posted on social media, “One of our young players experienced a tragedy on the field, we deeply empathize with the family’s grief, and we feel the concern and support from everyone.”

Currently, Craddock’s father is dedicated to promoting the use of ‘Guardian Caps’ in American football. This new type of helmet cover can effectively reduce the impact and minimize injuries to athletes.
