According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, AS Roma are very close to signing Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder, Koné.
In the race to sign Koné, Roma has taken the lead over AC Milan. The club has already agreed on personal terms with the player, offering an annual salary of €3 million. Roma’s latest offer stands at €17 million plus €3 million in bonuses, reaching a total value of €20 million, which meets Mönchengladbach’s demands. Based on the current situation, Roma is set to beat Milan to secure Koné’s signature.
Koné has been included in the latest French national team squad and will participate in the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches. Coach Didier Deschamps commented in an interview: “Koné can bring something different to the French midfield; we have been observing him for quite some time.”
