Alavés has officially announced the signing of 22-year-old centre-back Santiago Mourinho from Atlético Madrid, with the player signing a contract for five seasons.
Santiago Mourinho came through the youth academy of Nacional in Uruguay and has been part of the Uruguay national team. He later joined Montevideo. In July 2023, he transferred to Atlético Madrid and was loaned out to Real Zaragoza for one season by the club.
