According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United is concerned about the possibility of facing a lawsuit from player Jadon Sancho. This potential legal dispute stems from manager Erik ten Hag’s previous approach and comments regarding Sancho.
Two years ago, Ten Hag publicly stated that Sancho had mental health issues without the player’s consent, which raised concerns within the club’s HR department. Additionally, Ten Hag accused Sancho of lacking professionalism, a claim that Sancho contested, feeling he was being treated unfairly.
In January 2023, Sancho was loaned to Borussia Dortmund, where he performed well during the remainder of the season. He returned to Manchester United after the 2023/24 season and participated in the team’s pre-season training. However, at the start of the 2024/25 season, Sancho did not receive any playing time in Premier League matches and was not even included in the squad for several early games.
There are now reports suggesting that Sancho could be loaned out to Serie A side Juventus, with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. However, the specifics of this transfer are yet to be confirmed.
Sancho’s current contract with Manchester United runs until 2026. Given the current situation, Sancho may take legal action to protect his rights.
