September 2nd According to multiple media reports including Soccer News and Beijing Youth Daily, the Chinese men’s national soccer team will depart for Japan this morning to prepare for the away match against the Japanese national team on September 5th in the third round of the World Cup qualifiers.
As reported, the national team is embarking on this journey in a low-key manner. None of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) leaders, including CFA Chairman Song Kai and Vice Chairman Xu Jiren who oversees the national team affairs, are accompanying the team. Naturally, there will be no lengthy speeches or mobilizations during the preparation period. More importantly, the CFA has not set any rigid performance targets for the national team this time.
According to journalists, the national team will board a flight at around 9 am today and arrive in Tokyo before 1 pm local time. As per the preparation plan, the team will train at 7:30 pm local time on the same day at a venue named “AGF” stadium, located near the home ground of the J-League club Tokyo FC.
