Italian Serie B club Sampdoria has officially announced that the team has relieved head coach Andrea Pirlo of his duties with the first team, thanking him and the coaching staff for their dedication and professionalism during their time at the club.
Under Pirlo’s leadership, the team accumulated only 1 point after 3 rounds. At the start of the new Serie B season, Sampdoria drew 2-2 away with Frosinone in the first round, then lost 0-1 at home to Reggiana, and subsequently lost 2-3 away to Salernitana.
