German Sky Sports reports that Red Star Belgrade is interested in taking Stuttgart winger Silas.
Silas is 25 years old, plays as a right winger, and is a DR Congo international. He transferred from Paris FC to Stuttgart in 2019 and has been playing there since, making 91 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring 21 goals, and providing 12 assists. He was one of the contributors to Stuttgart’s second-place finish in the Bundesliga last season, ahead of Bayern Munich.
Silas did not appear on the team’s roster for the match against Mainz, indicating a high probability of his departure. Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim had also shown interest, but no agreement was reached before the transfer deadline.
By midnight local time on September 3rd, all Champions League teams must submit their squad lists. If Silas wants to join Red Star and participate in the Champions League, a transfer is imminent.
