According to The Independent, Arsenal is in contact with Chelsea, attempting to bring in Sterling.
The report points out that there are significant obstacles to Sterling’s transfer. With Sterling currently earning a weekly salary of £320,000, Arsenal is unwilling to cover the player’s high salary, and should the transfer go through, Sterling must accept a significant pay cut.
Arsenal is willing to pay a maximum of £150,000 per week for Sterling. Currently, Chelsea manager Malesca has already explicitly stated that he will no longer use Sterling, and the player also hopes to leave before the transfer window closes.
