Kiada Tomoharu: We Can Win Away Against Korean Teams, and We Can Win at Home Too; Players Will Fight Alongside Fans

At 18:00 on October 1st, in the second round of the AFC Champions League Elite Match, Kawasaki Frontale will face Gwangju FC at home. Kawasaki Frontale’s head coach Kiada Tomoharu attended the pre-match press conference.

Kiada said, “We can win against Korean teams away from home, and of course, we can win at home too. We want to show our attitude to win and secure three points together with our supporters. The players will perform even better with the support of the fans because the AFC Champions League is a joint battle of players, fans, and the club. Without a doubt, this match will be a fierce contest between our attack and Gwangju’s defense.”

Van Vlemiskerk then expressed his desire for the AFC Champions League title and gratitude to the fans: “We do need an AFC Champions League title. Having so many fans travel to the away game against Ulsan was truly powerful. Only with their support can we keep moving forward. I want to play as a whole team of Kawasaki under their passionate support.”
