On September 27, LPL team LNG officially announced that their mid-laner Scout can participate in the 2024 World Championship. Previously, Scout was involved in a legal dispute which led to a court order restricting his appearance; hence, the LPL temporarily called up JDG’s mid-laner Yagao as a backup.
Scout also confirmed on his personal social media that he can compete in the World Championship.

Scout: Hello everyone, this is Scout. I am very sorry for the unease and anxiety caused by my situation during this period. I have now resolved the issue with the travel restriction and can confirm that I will be joining my teammates at the 2024 League of Legends World Championship. I would like to express my special gratitude to the club, my teammates, and the friends who helped me during this time. They all came to my aid without hesitation when they learned about my difficulties, and ultimately, this enabled me to smoothly participate in the World Championship. Thank you so much, everyone! We are training normally and preparing seriously, please rest assured. Thank you for your support, see you at the World Championship!
