Netherlands Team Official: Veerman Withdraws from Squad Due to Injury; Bournemouth Forward Kluivert Called Up as Replacement

The Netherlands team has officially announced that PSV Eindhoven midfielder Joey Veerman has withdrawn from the national team due to injury. National team coach Ronald Koeman has called up striker Justin Kluivert from Bournemouth as a replacement.

The 25-year-old Veerman scored a goal in PSV’s 3-0 victory over De Graafschap, but was substituted in the 65th minute due to a foot injury.

The winger Kluivert is also 25 years old, he came through the Ajax youth academy, and transferred to Roma in 2018. He has been loaned out to Leipzig, Nice, and Valencia, and joined Bournemouth in 2023. He was previously selected for the Netherlands national team in 2018.
