Barcelona Holds Press Conference on Return to Camp Nou: Accommodates 62,000 Fans, Half-Season Tickets to Be Sold

On October 7, FC Barcelona held a press conference regarding their return to the Camp Nou, discussing the related plans.

FC Barcelona plans to return to the Camp Nou by the end of the year. During December, Barcelona will have three home games in La Liga against Las Palmas, Leganes, and Atletico Madrid. However, this is subject to change, and the final return date could potentially be postponed until early 2025.

While the Camp Nou is still under renovation, the first and second tiers of the stadium will be able to accommodate a total of 62,000 fans. Among these, 45,000 seats for La Liga matches will be reserved for half-season ticket holders, while seats for Champions League matches will be reduced to 40,000, with approximately 17,000 seats reserved for season ticket holders. By then, infrastructure such as lighting and bathrooms will be completed, and an additional 200 parking spaces will be added.

Currently, Barcelona is playing at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, which has a total of 17,699 season ticket holders. After Barcelona returns to the Camp Nou, these fans can continue to attend the remaining matches of the season. Others will need to enter a lottery to obtain the remaining half-season ticket qualifications.

Fans can register between October 11-23, with the specific lottery draw taking place on October 24. The remaining tickets for Barcelona’s matches will no longer be sold individually but will be bundled into half-season tickets. The club will charge fans for half a season of matches, including the remainder of the La Liga season, the remaining group stage and knockout matches of the Champions League, and the remaining matches of the Copa del Rey. The price range for half-season tickets varies significantly, from the cheapest at €295 to the most expensive at €755. Meanwhile, Barcelona will temporarily stop selling full-season tickets. The entire renovation of the Camp Nou is expected to be completed by the summer of 2026.
