For tonight’s EFL Cup match, Arsenal will be playing at home against Bolton. However, Arsenal is facing a rare goalkeeper crisis, with their first, second, and third-choice goalkeepers all unavailable for the game.
Sky Sports has pointed out that in the league match against Manchester City, Arsenal’s main goalkeeper, David Raya, sustained an injury and had his knee wrapped up. The backup goalkeeper, Neto, has already played for Bournemouth and is thus ineligible to play for Arsenal. The third-choice goalkeeper joined from Ajax this summer but is currently injured as well.
The only remaining option for Arsenal in the goalkeeper position is their fourth-choice, 16-year-old academy keeper, Potter. Potter only turned 16 in July and has made just one appearance for Arsenal’s academy teams in competitions above the U18 level.
