Bellingham: It's Painful to See Vinicius Jr. Face Racial Discrimination; We Must Make Him Feel Loved

According to AS, Vinicius Jr. has faced several incidents of racial discrimination in recent years. Bellingham firmly supports his Real Madrid teammate and calls on the public to take necessary actions to show solidarity and support for Vinicius.

Spanish media reported that before Brazil’s match against Spain in March this year, Vinicius was reduced to tears due to racial discrimination issues. Bellingham witnessed that press conference and stood firmly by his teammate, documenting that moment in a series of videos from his first season at Real Madrid.

Bellingham said, “Vinicius looked very sad at the press conference… The Vinicius I know is always smiling and happy, but at that moment he even talked about not wanting to play football anymore and stepping away from the sport, which made me feel very upset. When we return to Madrid, we must firmly support him and make him feel loved.”

In this series of videos, Bellingham also recounted his experience watching the Barcelona vs. Girona match with his family: “It felt really great, every time Girona scored, there were cheers in the room.” In that match, Girona defeated Barcelona 4-2, officially securing the league title for Real Madrid.

Additionally, in Bellingham’s video, he praised Joselu: “His journey has been very special, he was once in the youth academy but didn’t get a chance with the first team, later playing for clubs in England, Germany, and Spain, but his biggest dream was to return and play for Real Madrid. He is a wonderful person and an excellent professional player; he deserves this (championship), and Real Madrid fans will remember this. It has become part of the club’s history.”
