On the evening of September 23, the Croatian national team announced the squad list for the matches against Scotland and Poland in October.
Croatian head coach Zlatko Dalić stated: “September brought us new energy and optimism, and now we hope to maintain this good rhythm in the games against Scotland and Poland. We are aware that these two matches could be important steps towards our goals, but we fully respect our opponents and know that we can only achieve the points we want with the same attitude, unity, and focus that we showed during the match with Poland in Osijek.”
“I am very pleased that Orsić has returned to our team after a serious injury. He has received sufficient playing time at his club, which allows him to provide more options for our flanks. Compared to that training session, we have no new injuries, and some players have already returned to the field. Unfortunately, we are still missing Juranović and Stanisić on the right flank, but I believe we can compensate for these absences as well as we did in September with the players we currently have.”
